Succulent Planting and Care Instructions
Thank You for Your Purchase!
We hope you enjoy everything about your Cutieplants kit. Our mission is to deliver simple and rewarding plant kit experiences that create purpose and sprout joy.
While every effort is made to carefully pack your plant for shipping, your Cutieplant might still not enjoy being in a box for an extended period of time. For best results, open your Cutieplants Mini Planter Kit immediately when you receive it. Carefully remove your Cutieplant from the packaging materials. We recommend keeping your plant in the shade or indirect sunlight at first, and slowly exposing it to direct sunlight over several days. If your plant arrives slightly dull or wilted, give it a day to recover and then pot in the provided glass planter and begin watering.
Your Cutieplant is alive and ready to thrive. Plant your succulent within a few days of receipt for best results.
Every Mini Planter Kit includes:
- 2” live succulent plant
- Glass planter
- Pre-measured planting materials
- Wooden planting tool
Follow these steps to assemble your Cutieplant Mini Planter Kit:
Fill bottom of the glass planter with tri-colored rock mix. This provides good drainage for the soil.
Add 1 bag of soil mix to glass planter, enough for your Cutieplant to sit above the top of the glass. Our soil is enriched with plant food nutrients and specially formulated for succulents.
Gently squeeze sides of plastic plant container several times to loosen soil around roots. Remove succulent from plastic container.
Place plant into glass planter.
Use wooden tool to add 2nd bag of soil mix around plant, covering roots. Lightly tamp soil down so that no plant leaves are resting on it. Plants with more roots may not require all of the soil to be used. Use a toothpick or cotton swab to dust off any dirt that may have settled on your Cutieplant.
Optional: Use wooden tool to add a top layer of decorative sand around your plant.
Wait a day before watering your plant. This gives your succulent time to adapt to its new environment. When you do water, thoroughly wet the soil but do not allow water to pool.
- Water your Cutieplant when soil is dry, every 2-4 weeks. Do not water if soil is still damp.
- Place your Cutieplant near a bright window, preferably south- or east-facing.
- Enjoy watching your Cutieplant grow. Relax - succulents are resilient and so are you!
